ROBERT HARTZELL COLE, University of Nebraska - Lincoln

Abstract

The number of goods and services distributed by the franchise system is practically endless. Although there is a wide diversity in the products handled by various franchise companies, most of them have similar methods of operation and are faced with common problems. This similarity among franchise firms has brought about the formation of a relatively new industry, the franchise industry.
