Polarized Photon Correlation Studies in Singly Positive Helium Ion + Helium Collisions
Abstract
A schematic diagram of the experimental hardware is given in figures 2-1 and 2-2.The apparatus consists of an ion source, differential pumping chamber and the collision chamber. Each of the sections will be discussed in the following paragraphs. A discussion of the vacuum is omitted from the description because high vacuum techniques are adequately described in the literature.
