Abstract

It is known that the conditions under which animals learn are more controllable than those under which children learn, and that theconditions under which children learn are much more controllable than those under which adults learn. The fact is that most of the scientific theories of learning have been derived from the study of learning by animals and children. With the onset of the adult education movement, it is now possible to take advantage of research situations regarding the adult learner.
