MEGALOGONIA ICTALURI SURBER, 1928: A STUDY OF THE PREADULT STAGES
Abstract
Meqalogonia ictaluri Surber, 1928 (Fig. 1) was described as an intestinal parasite of channel catfish, Ictalurus punctatus (Rafinesque), collected from the St. Croix River at Stillw ater, Minnesota. In his description, Surber mentioned that the most characteristic feature of this digenetic trematode was the presence of two pairs of testes which are lateral, slightly lobed and pyramidal in general shape
