PRIVATE SCENES, PUBLIC PLACES: AN ETHNOGRAPHY OF AN ADULT BOOKSTORE
Abstract
An ethnographic account of an adult bookstore is presented. A dramaturgical framework is employed in description and analysis of the ecological areas of the bookstore, the pornographic materials for sale, the clientele, and norms relevant to this setting.
