Ecology of Mixed Prairie in Canada

Robert Thomas Coupland, University of Nebraska - Lincoln

Abstract

The Canadian portion of the great mid-continental grass- land of North America is not well known ecologically. That by far the larger part of it is mixed prairie has been ascer- tained, but the extent of this area, its contacts, and the several communities of which it is composed have not been determined. This research deals with these problems and with the autecology of the more abundant and important species.
