Abstract

IN DEFENSE OF GIRLS WHO LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT is a thesis comprised of forty four pages of poems and a ten page introduction that interrogates the reasoning behind not just the manuscript, but the importance of women rhetoricians in the poetry field . The poems included in this manuscript are an exploration of the things that come “after”. While primarily a manuscript about grief and the loss of close friends to suicide, it also explores the loss of relationship and the strain in family relationships after difficult events.
