Abstract

A new species of Dacne Latreille from Brazil, D. (Dacne) ducke, n. sp., and a new specimen of Dacne brodzinskyi Skelley (amber fossil) show characteristics presently unreported for the genus. acne ducke is the first member of the tribe Dacnini to be discovered in South America. A checklist of species and updates to an identification key for all known species are presented.
