Abstract

In the recent decades, the building materials industry has seen a shift toward providing more custom products due to changes in consumer preferences. Building material units such as exterior doors thus need to be customized and configured to specifications provided by end consumers or contractors in order to provide the best experience and range of products for customers. In this project, we developed an online, interactive configurator that enables users to select various components for their custom unit in the order they desire. With this product configuration, we generate an image that matches the user's specifications.
