Abstract
Power arbitrage is, at its simplest, the purchasing of power during off-peak times and resale of this power during peak times to secure a small profit. While this practice is slowly becoming more popular as the availability of residential power generation increases, there are still significant barriers to widespread adoption. These barriers include simple problems such as the capital expense of residential solar systems and battery shortages, as well as more complex issues such as legislative barriers.
