Abstract

The 2021-2022 Spreetail Design Studio team was tasked with developing a creative solution to revolutionize Spreetails product information taxonomy mapping, which is the mapping of products, based upon their characteristics, into categories. Using this statement of work, the team developed machine learning models that quickly and accurately recommend categories for products across different online marketplaces based on key information, such as title and description, about the products. Data from new products listings is continuously added to these models to ensure accurate and up-to-date categorizations for new products.
