Abstract

The 2023-2023 DMSi Design Studio team was tasked with developing an innovative solution to optimize DMSi’s material classification process, which is the process of mapping items from one company to another to conduct business. Using this statement of work, the team developed an application that could automatically classify items as well as a user interface that would allow a user to manually classify items if the application was not confident enough in its own guess.
