Abstract
Distribution Management Systems, Inc. (DMSi) has an online system in place to collect data, including solutions to customer questions and curated “How Tos”/FAQs. This information takes time to be able to properly filter and search, causing delays in answers provided to customers by the customer service department, especially when speaking over the phone.
The project’s goal is that given structured and unstructured data, support personnel have a tool to ask questions in natural language and receive valid answers and information sources. The ideal tool to serve as the solution: a fully deployed Chatbot embedded into DMSi internal environments. This would include the architecture and processes built for future customer use.
Our vision statement for the project is as follows:
“To accelerate DMSi’s customer help experience by equipping the support teams with an AI-powered knowledge retrieval tool.”
This statement stayed consistent throughout the project and helped us align our goals we had.
