Abstract
During the 2017-2018 Water for Food Design Studio project, a team of students was given the task of developing a comprehensive web application to help farmers in Nebraska visualize their agricultural data. In the process of developing the project, challenges were faced concerning the best methods to make the application accessible and usable to an older and potentially less technically-literate user. Looking back on the project, the usability issues raised are analyzed and presented with the solutions implemented throughout the course of the project, providing a deeper understanding of the issues encountered, challenges faced, and available solutions for similar applications today.
