Abstract

This project addresses the challenges of student data migration for K-12 educational institutions to the FACTS Student Information System (SIS). Historically, data migration from legacy platforms has been a manual and error-prone process. To streamline this workflow, an interactive client dashboard and automated validation system were developed as part of this capstone. The resulting solution is a scalable, intuitive tool that enhances data accuracy, reduces manual labor, and improves the user experience for both school administrators and FACTS staff. This report blends the technical implementation with reflections on project management, team collaboration, and lessons learned, offering a comprehensive view of the system’s design, implementation, and real-world impact.
