Lone Star Tick and Red Meat Allergy
There are three tick species established in Nebraska that carry and spread diseases to humans and animals, including the lone star tick. Nebraska Extension Urban Entomologist Jody Green says the Lone Star tick can transmit a serious red meat allergy to humans.
