Harvest Operations: Own It or Hire It?
University of Nebraska’s Center for Ag Profitability provides farmers with worksheets and calculation software to help them understand their operation costs for harvest equipment. University of Nebraska-Lincoln Farm and Ranch Management Analyst Glennis McClure says farmers can use that data to determine whether ownership or hiring out for the harvest makes more sense.
