Abstract

Resumen. Se describe el segundo estadio ninfal y se redescribe el primer estadio ninfal de Macracanthopyga verganiana Lizer y Trelles. Se discute brevemente las afinidades de M. verganiana con otras especies de eriocóccidos sudamericanos.

Abstract. The second instar nymph of Macracanthopyga verganiana is described and the first instar nymph is redescribed. A brief discussion on the affinities of M. verganiana with other species of South American eriococcids is given.
