Web Impact Factor Analysis of Special Library Websites in Kerala

Abstract

Webometric is one of the most-relevant info-metric tools that can be used to analyze how users actually react and use specific web document. The present study aims to analyze the websites of special libraries in Kerala to identify the number of web pages, link pages, and calculate web impact factors such as SWIF, SLWIF, EWIF, and RWIF. Data was collected from 9 special library website in Kerala through "Google Search Engine". The study reveals that all type of web impact factors is highest in KIRTADS library website and lowest in the library website of CPCRI.
