Abstract
This article examines the intersection points of metadata, digital images, digitization management, the long tail, and the order of order. The range of resources and information on the Internet and the World Wide Web has changed forever the landscape of information access and retrieval. This article asks why the digitization of images is a complex issue, and how metadata is related to the digitization of images.
