Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the use of virtual social networks and the non-syllabus studies of students at Payame Noor University in Izeh city of Iran. The research is purposeful and applied in terms of survey method. Out of 1200 students from Payame Noor University of Izeh city, 316 students were selected and analysed using Krejcie and Morgan's tables. Two questionnaires were used to collect the data of virtual networks and non-syllabus study. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics such as Pearson correlation coefficient, single-sample t-test and independent t-test were used.
