Libraries at University of Nebraska-Lincoln

 

Abstract

This article investigates the theft of law books in the Nigerian university law libraries. A total of 15 libraries were used as research subjects. Data was gathered using a questionnaire. Result show that virtually all the libraries had experienced the loss of law books. Reference books in law are the main target. The cost implications of the thefts are examined. Possible causes of the theft of law books are also reviewed and suggestions that might reduce the rate of theft are provided.
