Abstract
This study has been carried out to analyze the research field of Sago in terms of publication output as per science citation index database between 1978 and 2010. A quantitative analysis on the countries and organizations that contribute in the field of Sago is presented. The data shows increase in the basic research activity in this research field. During 1973- 2010, a total of 447 papers were published by the scientists in the field of sago. The average number of citation per year is 11.76%.The highest number of papers was published in 2008. There were 26 countries involved in research in this field. India is the top producing country. The most productive author is Moorthy SN. The most productive Journal is starch-starke. The parameters include growth of publication, country wise, distribution of publication and authorship.
