Questionnaire, interview, and observational methods were used for data collection, and 400 valid samples were collected. The study found that electronic journals and abstracting services are most often used by IIT, Delhi users. The reasons for using the intranet include: ease of use, flexibility and versatility, increasing efficiency, etc. The analysis of data collected covers frequency of intranet usage, purpose of using intranet, availability of intranet services, search behaviour of the users, types of databases used, problems faced by users while using intranet, infrastructure facility available, and satisfaction level of users. Lack of guidance and limited access terminals are major problems that discourage some users from accessing the intranet.
