Abstract
The Information Gateway is the online library of the National Open University of Nigeria. It is a gateway to a wide range of online information resources, each of which provides tools that help navigate the contents. This paper appraises the status and importance of online resources available in the Information Gateway and the enabling technology for the effective functioning of the National Virtual Library.The paper also appraises the online services in the e-library and makes recommendations for enhanced service delivery and use of the online resources to boost e-learning in Nigeria.
