The objective of the study is to probe into the mobile reading habit in the digital era: a case study of Under Graduate Students at Durgapur Government College (D.G.C) and Michael Madhusudan Memorial College (M.M.M.C) of the steel city Durgapur. In the latter half of the 21^st century smartphone has emerged as a book of globalization and enhanced the making of the global world, technologically revolutionizing the social and economic structure of the countries. The life and livelihood of people everywhere have undergone a massive change due to the influx of mobile phones in day-to-day life.
