Abstract
A library association is a non-government body of library professionals who come together for the betterment and development of libraries, library professionals, and the people who can avail themselves of the benefits of libraries. There are currently numerous library associations in India. However, only a small percentage of library associations have functional websites. In this study, we took 20 national library associations that have a proper website where they mention their objectives, vision, and current activities, while others do not have proper websites; some of them use content management sites (World Press, Blogspot, etc.), and others are in physical mode only and not on the web. This study tries to examine the content analysis of the webpage, the link structure analysis of the website, the usage analysis of the website, and the web technology analysis of the selected associations’ websites. It is founded in the study that the websites of BLA have the highest simple, external, and internal web impact factors and hence the best web presence among all. As per others, WIFs find that ISALIC, SIS, and KLA are in a good position compared to others. The findings and suggestions of this study will help the library associations in restructuring and upgrading website maintenance.
