Abstract

Introduction: Access to educational and a research material has always been a challenge in a socio-economically challenged country like Pakistan, due to lack of financial resources, unavailability of electricity, and slow internet speeds. The use of Google blogs has promoted a new and innovative way, through which users can easily access knowledge content. This research sheds light on the creation and usefulness of digital libraries through the use of Google blogs and their link list gadgets.

Methods: Google is an international technology corporation that provides dozens of services, including Blogger. Blogger provides 25 modules or gadgets that offer different features, which can be taken advantage of by everyone from laymen to techies. Given the difficulties in obtaining research data, we have identified the link-list module as the best gadget to use as a digital library, an effective source or hub for accessing knowledge.

Results: E-libraries were established between October 2022 and November 2023, along with other libraries. According to monthly page views, these libraries received a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 120 views during this period. All blogs (link list libraries) were accessed by eight different browsers. The least access was recorded by headless chrome (1 time) and the highest by chrome (1065 times). Country-wise analysis of page views, 18 countries found these digital libraries useful, with Pakistan receiving the most attention, due to targeted marketing of these libraries followed by Afghanistan, Russia, Hong Kong, USA, Switzerland, France, Germany, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Finland, Netherlands, Panama, China, and the Czech Republic.

Conclusion: This study specifically examines how link list gadgets are helpful in organizing and curating academic and research materials and how these digital libraries are becoming an effective resource for researchers, students, and general readers. are Furthermore, this research also discusses the technical and socio-economic barriers that hinder the use of these digital libraries in Pakistan, and how the innovative use of these blogs is helping to reduce these barriers.
