Abstract
This study examined and explored the latest position and job-related problems of professional academic women librarians in the top ranked Pakistani university named University of the Punjab, Lahore. The Objectives of this study were to: compare women library manager position to that of their male counterparts; sight seen the behave of super-ordinate; torched on the level of graph of obedience of sub-ordinates; investigate users and publishers & vendors attitude toward female library manager. This study also discusses the general hindrances and stoppages faced by females in librarianship; suggest possible solutions that help in their proficient development. The study was conducted by using quantitative research method. Questionnaires were filled from respondents. The answers point to that working women in Pakistan are not facing issues relating harassment or threats from male co-workers, although there are some cultural traits that still affect the woman’s managerial position in Pakistan.
