Abstract

for the New Music Agency flute, clarinet, bassoon, marimba, el. piano, drum set Return of the Randwulf revisits some themes from the controversial 1995 orchestral piece Randwulf, written for the Lincoln Youth orchestra conducted by Brian Moore (which a reviewer described as “Otto Von Bismark getting down and funky”). This version features two of the James Brown-inspired sections connected by softer interludes of featuring the winds then marimba and electric piano, all accompanied by a percussion track.
