Abstract

The North American Native Bankers Association (NANBA) is convening in San Diego this month to help tribes create their own banks. The association feels that operating financial institutions is the next step in creating a truly sovereign Native America. But what does it take for Native America to create a banking industry? And can it be done without losing our assets? Guests include J.D. Colbert, president of NANBA and Frank Riolo, NANBA chairman.
