Presidential Campaign 2000 (2/21/00)

Date of this Version

February 2000

Abstract

As the primary elections for President heat up, it is apparent that the candidates are not going to volunteer to talk about Indian issues. Some Native leaders are saying Indian issues are not even registering a blip on the radar screens of the top candidates. How do we get the attention of presidential hopefuls? Guests include Fred Harris, former U.S. Senator and current political science professor at the University of New Mexico.
