Repatriating Ancient Remains (7/6/00)

Date of this Version

July 2000

Abstract

Repatriating ancient remains has proven increasingly hard to do, even with the law on your side. More and more human remains and artifacts are being found in the hands of private collectors, and they are not willing to give them back. But that has created a repatriation movement in Native America that is gaining momentum. Can we bring the remains of our ancestors home and put them to rest? Guest include Leonard Little Finger, spokesman for the Sitanka Tiwa'he.
