Abstract
Total length and mass were measured on 883 spotted gar, Lepisosteus oculatus, collected between 1984 and 1996 from 49 Texas reservoirs. Spotted gar mass was positively related to length (r2 = 0.92, p < 0.0001). Mass-length relationships differed significantly (P < 0.0001) among reservoirs, explaining an additional 2% of the variation in spotted gar mass.
