Abstract
Born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s, Generation Z is inheriting a flawed world. As young Americans, they are judged due to their adherence to the values of previous generations. Many stereotypes revolve around the idea that the current generation is lazy, poorly prepared, not aspired, technology dependent, and dumb. These young individuals are under many pressures due to the new upcomings and advancements taking place in their lives. Expectations from past generations affect them greatly; the present day is completely different to 40 years ago. Technological advancements that involve the media have impacted not only today's generation but the economy. The “dumbest” generation is far from “dumb.” These young Americans are only growing up in a different setting and with many advancements that impact their daily lives and benefit the economy. Gen Z is only building a better future for themselves and the generations to come.
