Abstract
George Orwell’s novel, 1984 highlights a vulnerable society being controlled by a totalitarian government. This novel can be compared to The Holocaust due to the similar circumstances that the Jewish population had to face. The corruption, oppression, manipulation, and excessive surveillance that the citizens faced in the novel, 1984 was a reality to the Jewish population during the Holocaust.
