Abstract

This research studies the relationship between the positions of an insurance company’s subsidiaries and the risk of termination. While looking at the insurance company from the business lines and geographical perspective, and applying the Research Dependency Theory (RDT), the subunit power can be determined by categorizing it into two position- periphery and overlapping. This research reason how an insurance subunit that is in a periphery or overlapping position in the firm has higher termination risk when the insurance group is going through restructuring.
