Abstract

Image snippets and analysis files for the Aida team's case study of poetic content in digitized newspapers from Chronicling America, covering the period 1836-1840. Images were downloaded from Chronicling America as JPEG2000, converted to JPG, cut up into overlapping image snippets, and processed with various blurring algorithims. Feature values were extracted and images were classified based on these image snippets.
