Founded in 1911, WMI is a private, nonprofit, scientific and educational organization, dedicated to the conservation, enhancement and professional management of North America's wildlife and other natural resources.

The Outdoor News Bulletin (ONB) is the Wildlife Management Institute's free, monthly newsletter that has been published since 1947. Originally mailed to our members and subscribers, the ONB went electronic in April 2004, increasing circulation considerably.

The ONB consists of timely, short, focused articles about current events in the wildlife management industry, such as updates on state action plans, reports on development on public land, science-based analyses of contemporary conservation issues, and summaries of evolving national wildlife policy. The ONB's main audiences are federal, state and private wildlife science and policy professionals, those in wildlife management academics, and those in outdoor media. However, our subscribership also includes government officials and those generally interested in conservation and in North America's environmental health.
