Abstract
I am pleased to be back home in Nebraska. It is a special honor for me to be chosen to deliver the prestigious E.J. Faulkner Lecture at my alma mater. In particular, I welcome this opportunity to speak to the students of the College of Business Administration because upon graduation many of you will take jobs that are directly linked to the international economy. . Even though the state of Nebraska is situated in the heartland of the united state and insulated by thousands of acres' of land, it is a major player in the global economy. We must educate ourselves on the economic and cultural similarities and differences of our foreign counterparts in order to effectively compete and cooperate with them.
