Abstract
The objective of the experiment was to evaluate the digestibility by anaerobic bacteria of swine manure under the controlled conditions.
Nine digesters of a capacity of three liters were daily loaded with three different amounts of swine wastes in terms of grams of volatile solids during three periods of fifteen days. In each period loadings were maintained constant. In the first period, the digesters were maintained at 90°F., in the second at 70°F. and in the third at 50°F.
