Abstract

In this study, the discussion of agricultural development is limited to Iran’s agriculture with respect to the role that agricultural credit can play in this development. To begin with, factual information about geographic and general economic conditions in the country is presented. This is followed by a discussion of the role of agriculture in Iran and the conditions of credit in agriculture at the present time. An evaluation of the present system is made with suggested changes which should improve the productivity of agriculture.
