Abstract
The present study explores the desirability of behavior of the three-year-old child, as viewed by the lower class mothers.A major concern of the study is whether lower class mothers recognize which behaviors of their children are most important to their over-all normal development. The results will be discussed and compared to a previous study completed by Mary Petsche in 1962 entitled Mothers’ Differentiation of the Importance of Behavior of Their Three-Year-Old Children.
