Research Interests:

• Physiology and molecular biology of methylotrophic yeast, Pichia pastoris, which is utilized as a system for the production of heterologous proteins (e.g., vaccines, peptide hormones , and industrial enzymes).

• Studying the effects of by-products on the protein production in P. pastoris and catabolite repression of methanol regulated AOX1 promoter of P. pastoris.
