Abstract
Raleigh, North Carolina, will play host to the 24th annual meeting of the ADE, October 4-6, 2001. Centrally located on the Eastern Seaboard about halfway between New York and Florida--only a few hours from the beach or the mountains-Raleigh is in the middle of one of America's most beautiful states. One of the Southeast's best visitor destinations, it is North Carolina's capital city area as well as the center for history, culture, the arts, and education. Raleigh also is the largest city in a metropolitan area known as the Research Triangle. The area is home to more than twenty Free Family Attractions, more than eighty accommodations, superb shopping and dining, a variety of meeting facilities, and lots of parks, lakes, festivals and special events.
