Abstract

The goal of the Speedway Motors Multi-Channel Product Information Management project was to design a solution that would allow Speedway Motors to add and update product information to their online auto part catalogue more efficiently. Previously, Speedway Motors content specialists cleaned and formatted all incoming data manually, which made product onboarding a time consuming and error prone process. The system developed over the course of this project allows Speedway Motors content specialists to create customized mapping rules which are applied to new auto part data. Now, content specialists can upload new auto part data in bulk and the system automatically maps the data to the standard Speedway Motors format for the specific brand and part type. The implementation of this system saves Speedway Motors time and money, as well as helping increase sales, reduce the number of product returns, and provide a better eCommerce search experience for customers.
