Abstract

This research investigates the information-seeking behaviors, challenges, and preferences of woman students in the social science departments at The University of Burdwan. Employing a mixed-methods approach, data was collected from 180 students through online interactions, direct communication, interviews, and questionnaires. The study delves into library visitation frequencies, motivations, internet access sources, tools used in dissertation work, and satisfaction levels with digital information sources. Findings provide valuable insights into optimizing information resources and services for a diverse student population.
