Abstract
We are concerned with the following assertion:
THEOREM. If {φn(x)} and { φn’(x)} are orthogonal systems of polynomials, then {φn(x)} may be reduced to the classical polynomials of Jacobi, Laguerre, or Hermite by means of a linear transformation on x.
