Abstract

After several years of court battles, the nine-thousand-year-old skeletal remains of Kennewick Man have been returned to Northwest tribes. On the eastern seaboard of Canada, gunfire has been exchanged in the ongoing lobster battle between members of the Mikmaq Nation and non-native fishermen. The Blackfeet of Montana have announced a new wind power project that will capture the extreme winds from the Rockies onto the Great Plains, and we'll also honor an Apache elder for his work as an archeologist. All this plus we'll be taking your calls to let us know what's happening in your community.
