Abstract

Gay and lesbian couples around the country held their "Coming Out Day" last week. It was meant to raise the discrimination issues that gays and lesbians face in society. But what is it like for Native Americans to openly declare their homosexuality within a traditional setting? Is homosexuality accepted in Native American communities? Guests include Will Roscoe, author of several books about homosexuality in Native America.
